Beyond Fight, Flight, Freeze
I don't know about you, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to process what's happening in the world right now.
The violence, cruelty, environmental destruction, manufactured division, and mass media designed to keep us all debilitated in dysregulation...
It’s all too much.
And the truth is, I don't think most of us have the tools we need to metabolize this much horror without it breaking us down.
We scroll, rage, vent, complain, and cry.
We go numb, try to look away, or force ourselves to keep watching.
And worst of all, many of us are feeling pulled into hopelessness and despair – and we’re not going to get anywhere if we stay stuck there.
All of those responses are valid and understandable.
But none of them actually keep us in a state from which we can actually engage to make an impact.
This is one of the reasons I do the work I do.
My clients and I needed more language, tools, and methods to actually process collective trauma without either shutting down completely or burning ourselves out trying to fix everything.
So I created a new model that helps us do just that.
In this week's podcast episode, I walk you through the twenty stress responses that are at the heart of Gravity Point®: the tools your system uses to process what's happening in your world.
Some of these responses will feel familiar. Others might be completely new to you. But all twenty are happening in your system right now, whether you have language for them or not.
We’re growing our presence on Apple Podcasts, so if you can rate and review there, it really helps us grow.
But every listen on Spotify and YouTube helps too!
Talk to you inside,
